Astra sources all Elmfield House's ingredients and produce locally and we are committed to supporting local farms and businesses where ever possible.

All meals are home produced using produce from suppliers which include meat and bacon from Bedale's renowned butchers Cockburns together with handmade sausages and our own free range eggs. Locally produced organic milk and cream is supplied by our friendly milkman. Fresh fruit and vegetables and award-winning fish comes from Carricks at Snape. And Yorkshire finest tea and coffee is supplied by Taylors of Harrogate, which owns the world famous Bettys tea shops at Harrogate, Ilkley, Northallerton and York.

Breakfast at Elmfield House

We also offer locally made marmalades and jams with breakfast and excellent honey produced by local beekeepers.

2009 was not a good year for bees and we had to source honey from wider afield than usual.  As soon as the North Yorkshire bees are working well again we will be back to locally produced honey.

Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 8.30am during the week and between 8.00am and 9.00am on Saturday and Sunday.

At the other end of the day, for dinner, you can enjoy a meal at one of several excellent pubs and restaurants that we can recommend in the area.  We have some sample menus to hand to help you with your choice and we are happy to arrange a booking on your behalf.

Check our prices page for seasonal offers for meals and specials.
