Elmfield House is a four-star guest house run by the Towning family based in the heart of Wensleydale. Elmfield enjoys a four star and Silver Award from the English Tourist Board, four stars and Highly Commended rating from the AA and a badge of merit for its breakfast from Deliciously Yorkshire, the organisation that supports local food produce in the region. Based in Arrathorne, between the market towns of Leyburn, Bedale, Richmond and Thirsk - Elmfield provides an excellent base for exploring some of England's most stunning landscapes, from High Force in County Durham, to the picturesque town of Hawes, famous for Wensleydale Cheese, to the bustling town of Richmond with its castle, museums and gift shops. The house itself boasts excellent accommodation and guests can enjoy a hearty Yorkshire breakfast and the best local produce available. The location of Elmfield House provides a fantastic stop over point for business or leisure travellers or longer term accommodation for the tourist seeking out the best that North Yorkshire and County Durham can offer. Elmfield House is open throughout the year, and while we are at our busiest in the spring and summer many guests return each autumn and winter for shooting parties or just to enjoy the dramatic changes in the landscape that take place throughout the year.
